Bumitama Agri's Central Kalimantan oil palm estate has huge potential

Good weather conditions, strong community engagement.

According to Maybank Kim Eng, Bumitama Agri's PT Windu Nabatindo Lestari oil palm estate enjoys ideal conditions for oil palm planting. The region sees well-distributed rainfall of 3,000mm a year, gets 5-7 sunshine hours a day, and has fetrile virgin soil.

Maybank further notes that the company is building strong community engagement programs aimed at developing a stream of capable workers that will keep the estate running smoothly. The community is employed as workers in the estate and give proper housing, the research firm noted, with schools and an in-house learninc centre already built.
