Thanks to smaller Comfeed losses.
Mainboard-listed company Japfa posted a 35% growth in its core net profit for FY14, which stood at $78.7m (US$57.7m).
Japfa was able to narrow its losses in Japfa Comfeed after a disastrous third quarter. It reined in its investment in loss-making Comfeed while its Indochina animal protein business chugged along nicely.
Japfa’s bottomline was further boosted by strong performance in Myanmar, improved swine business in Vietnam, and increase in milk volumes in China.
