All eyes on possible OUE offer for F&N
November 15 will decide whether tug-of-war commences.
Here's more from BBVA:
The corporate story of the year is reignited this week when F&N shareholders will discover if OUE is to put up or shut up as its self-imposed deadline of 15 November looms.
If an offer does materialise it could spark a tug-of-war for F&N, akin to the corporate tussle for its half-owned subsidiary Asia Pacific Breweries which saw Heineken the eventual victor.
The ball is ready to be flung back into Thai tycoon Charoen’s court after spending a number of weeks with OUE. The big question is whether Charoen has got it right having called OUE’s bluff by not improving his $8.88 offer for the conglomerate.
