Bank of Singapore appoints veteran banker Richard Hu as Greater China market head
He previously occupied top posts at Julius Baer, Credit Suisse, UBS Wealth Management and Citi Private Bank.
The Bank of Singapore named industry veteran Richard Hu as market head of Greater China The Greater China region saw the highest growth amongst the bank’s core markets in 2018.
With over two decades of formidable experience, Hu will join the bank from Avenue Asset Management which he started in 2016. He also served as Gropu Head of Greater China Market at Julius Baer and market head for China & Taiwan onshore and offshore team at HSBC Private Bank.
Hu also held key leadership positions at Credit Suisse, UBS Wealth Management, and Citi Private Bank in the Greater China region.
Hu will report directly to Derrick Tan, CEO of Bank of Singapore Hong Kong branch and global market head for Greater China and North Asia. He joins the bank from Avenue Asset Management which he started in 2016 where he built up a team from scratch and started a venture capital fund, real estate fund and fixed income fund.
