EVCo's AI-powered decarbonisation drives success and sustainability for SMEs

The use of artificial intelligence (AI) can significantly improve the efficiency and effectiveness of businesses by analysing data, identifying patterns, and automating processes.
Amongst its clients is pest management company ORIGIN, which sought to improve its operations, increase its customer satisfaction, and reduce its costs through the transformative power of AI.
With the use of EVCo’s AI-enabled solutions, ORIGIN implemented an automated system for scheduling and dispatching technicians. By using algorithms that factor in technician availability, location, and skillset, ORIGIN can optimise their technician schedules to ensure that the right technician is dispatched to each job. This strategic optimisation has drastically cut travel time, improved customer satisfaction, and increased the number of jobs completed per day.
ORIGIN has also embarked on a sweeping transition, with the conversion of its entire fleet to electric vehicles (EVs), as it believes that EVs are better for the planet and require lower energy and maintenance costs.
In their quest for sustainable solutions, ORIGIN partnered with EVCo as it sees the latter as a trailblazer in the sustainability business. It was able to procure cost-effective EVs and seamlessly integrated data-driven systems into their operations through the services provided by EVCo.
Fuelled by decarbonisation and AI, ORIGIN reported a reduction of 25 tonnes of carbon emissions per annum, a productivity boost of 16% through better utilisation of resources and assets, and a 23% decrease in the total cost of ownership through optimising its fleet and freeing valuable resources to focus on its core business.
The impact of EVCo’s sustainability practices and innovative solutions has been duly recognised by the SBR Technology Excellence Awards as EVCo clinches the AI - Environmental Services category win.
