Hako Technology Pte. Ltd. wins in the Financial Services category at the 2022 SBR National Business Awards

Leading cryptocurrency company, Hako Technology Pte. Ltd., was successful at the 2022 SBR National Business Awards, after earning its Financial Services Trophy at the event. The company was awarded as its cryptocurrency platform, Coinhako, continued making strides in the Asian crypto-economy.
The previous year saw the company establish strategic business partnerships with other big players in the industry such as Amazon Web Services and GrabPay, whilst working to earn its full license from the central bank and financial regulatory authority of Singapore. In May 2022, Coinhako was granted the Monetary Authority of Singapore official approval for a Major Payment Institution licence, allowing the company to formally operate as a regulated provider of Digital Payment Token Services under the Payment Services Act.

One major breakthrough made by the company was its strategic support to Singapore-based esports team ALMGHTY, thereby establishing the country’s first Ethereum-funded esports sponsorship. According to the company, the aim of the sponsorship was to drive brand awareness amongst the mobile-first, tech-savvy Gen Z demographic.
To further establish a meaningful connection with its digital-native audience, Hako Technology Pte. Ltd also partnered with the multi-concept space and research centre, Appetite, as both companies launched Singapore’s first large-scale NFT exhibition ‘Right Click + Save’, which was fully booked right before its opening.
Another major partnership secured by the company was with GrabPay. The company boasted that this move enabled its users to have a seamless and hassle-free alternative payment method, facilitating the instant purchase of digital assets and thus furthering Coinhako’s mission of improving access for users to the crypto economy.
Hako Technology Pte. Ltd is also consistently working to not only maintain good service to its growing number of users but also enhance the company’s operations. In Singapore alone, the company has a current base of some 400,000 registered retail users. Additionally, by the end of 2021, Coinhako achieved an increase of 1200% of total trading volume from the previous year. “Additional highlights in 2021 include integrating Amazon Web Services (AWS) to improve the platform’s reliability, security, and costs; and concluding a successful funding round, which was three-times oversubscribed, with institutional investors such as SBI Holdings, Sygnum Bank, and Azimut Investment Management,” the company spokesperson explained.
