IBM to explore actionable strategies in sustainability ambitions
The roundtable discussion will also shine light on industry standards on ESG reporting and management.
As companies and consumers become more aware of massive impact of climate change, they are now coming to terms with the importance of corporate accountability and implementing sustainability measures.
Executives across the globe agree that committing to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) efforts can help improve business results. Whilst this effort should be acknowledged, they should not do this to merely preserve their interests.
The pandemic, if not previous phenomena, has shown the rising need for ESG disclosures amidst impacts on stakeholders. However, only a few are able to follow through on this commitment. Many companies still lack the expertise for this goal, and others do not even know where to begin. The challenge now is to allow sustainability efforts to drive business whilst also ensuring a return on investment.
In partnership with Singapore Business Review (SBR), the leading sustainable services provider, IBM will hold a roundtable discussion on turning sustainability ambitions into actions. Entitled “Walking the Talk: Turning sustainability ambition into action,” the roundtable discussion will be held on 6 December 2022, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM SGT at the Four Seasons Hotel Singapore.
Companies and executives are invited to attend the event to learn more on how sustainability and ESG efforts will boost business growth amidst mounting pressures from stakeholders. The discussion will explore:
- How to turn sustainable goals into actionable strategies
- The best industry standards on ESG reporting and management
- How to create an ESG data foundation using technology and learn how to leverage it to boost business growth
- How to build sustainable IT infrastructure
IBM Consulting Asia-Pacific’s Managing Partner for Strategic Sales & Sustainability Consulting and industry expert Arun Biswas will be leading the discussion for this event.
