Introducing the future of workspace experience with CapitaStar@Work
CapitaLand wins at the 2023 SBR Technology Excellence Awards.
To effectively manage the operational and technological aspects of their workspace properties, and to meet the growing demand for digital integration with their tenants, CapitaLand launched CapitaStar@Work, a platform designed to elevate their workspace users’ experience, improve the productivity of their property management teams, as well as to provide digital solutions for their tenants, through digital enablement across their properties.
By empowering their property management teams, CapitaLand is transforming the real estate industry by enhancing the user experience to increase the value proposition of their workspace properties. For their achievement, the company received the prestigious PropTech – Building Services & Facilities Award in this year’s SBR Technology Excellence Awards.
The awards programme recognises the success of companies in Singapore to develop world-class products and services aided by digital capabilities, and CapitaLand aims to lead the digital revolution in PropTech and real estate with the features CapitaStar@Work offers to their tenants and property management teams.
As early as 2019, CapitaLand pioneered contactless and card-free access for tenants and visitors with the aim of providing a fast, secure, and convenient experience in their workspace properties. The introduction of the CapitaStar@Work mobile app in FY2021 has played a pivotal role in enabling the adoption of contactless access to their properties.
Presently, in most of their commercial offices, tenants are gaining access through the building turnstiles via facial recognition after self-enrolment on the mobile app, or via a personalised dynamic QR code generated by the mobile app. Visitors can also gain direct access to turnstiles by being invited by tenants on the mobile app or portal, eliminating the time and effort needed to physically register at the concierge. In some co-working spaces owned and operated by CapitaLand, mobile credential access via the mobile app has also been introduced.
Additionally, the tedious and manual process of granting and removing tenants’ access to the CapitaLand properties has also been digitised. Tenant administrators can conveniently manage access to their employees via a self-help portal. Activation of access is seamless and in real-time, resulting in improved productivity of both CapitaLand property management teams and their tenant administrators. The portal also provides a dashboard for allotment balance and visitor invitations that can be done individually or by batch.
In meeting the growing demand for digital integration with their tenants, CapitaLand is offering digital solutions to their tenants. The digital solutions are well received and are gaining traction from notable tenants in the portfolio. CapitaStar@Work also powers CapitaLand’s flexible spaces such as Bridge+, Catapult, and The Workshop, with highly-advanced digital solutions, strengthening its technology stack.
To further provide tenants with more space options for their business needs, bookable short-term spaces for events, meetings, conferences or even roadshows are listed on CapitaStar@Work mobile app. This allows tenants to browse, book and pay conveniently, all through the app.
CapitaStar@Work mobile app is also utilised for driving community engagement, where users are able to view and register for exclusive events organised for tenants. Furthermore, mobile app users can link their CapitaStar@Work app profile with CapitaStar, CapitaLand’s lifestyle rewards program, allowing users to enjoy deals, rewards, and lifestyle content from participating CapitaLand properties and more. By integrating both platforms, users can access greater privileges within the CapitaStar ecosystem.
Other features that improve productivity for property management teams are progressively being rolled such as electronic attendance for fire drills, corrective maintenance feedback, safety risk reporting and safety declaration in emergencies.
Looking towards the future, CapitaLand aims to further improve and scale up the platform, offering more high-touch features to elevate and reward workspace experience for tenants in CapitaLand to make CapitaLand’s workspace properties more attractive for their end-users and businesses alike.
