L’Oréal Singapore wins Executive of the Year at the SBR Management Excellence Awards 2022
During her over half a decade at L'Oréal Singapore, Isabelle Lim, Director of Corporate Affairs, Engagement, Public Affairs, and Consumer Advisory, has enhanced the company’s reputation amongst employees and key stakeholders in Singapore, engaging them across four core pillars: people, place, purpose, and planet.
Strengthening L’Oréal’s position as a thought leader in sustainability, she spearheaded multiple milestones, including being the first and only beauty company to be awarded the bi-annual 3R Award consecutively from Singapore's Environment Minister in 2017 and 2019, and the first-ever landmark beauty upcycling partnership with GUILD, the National University of Singapore (NUS), the National Environment Agency (NEA), and the South West Community District Council.
In her role as L’Oréal OneSingapore Office Lead, Lim was instrumental in orchestrating the complex move to its new regional headquarters, and she also rallied employees to feel supported and engaged even virtually during the pandemic. Employees contributed over 750 volunteer hours during the company’s volunteerism time, where they played a part in meaningful activities that aligned the group’s purpose with their values and passions. She also launched creative competitions and hybrid activations such as the "Sustaina-pore" Challenge and led the first-ever partnership workshop with the Movement for the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore (MINDS), where beneficiaries designed reusable sneaker clips around the sustainability theme, and their designs were showcased in the first-ever L’Oreal x Minds Gallery Photo Exhibition, which was open to the public.
In an increasingly complex environment, Lim also setup the public affairs, crisis, and sustainability functions and reinvented the consumer advisory division. Her warmth and people-oriented leadership has given her multiple accolades and testimonials from employees and stakeholders.
In recognition of these sustainability approaches, L’Oréal and GUILD has won the Innovator of the Year award, and Isabelle Lim was awarded the Executive of the Year award at the recently concluded SBR Management Excellence Awards 2022.
