Somin Pte. Ltd., takes the Computer Software category trophy at the SBR National Business Awards
SoMin.ai marries both its powerful AI profiling algorithms and automation to bring real performance gains for your Facebook & Google campaigns.
SoMin.ai, a global deep tech start-up from Singapore received its Computer Software Category Trophy at the SBR National Business Awards 2022.
The company was recognised for their ability to improve the performance of their client’s digital ad campaigns. Powered by machine learning algorithms, their platform acquires a deep understanding of audience psychographics and behavioural traits and converts them into actionable targeting and automated optimisation. Their proprietary technology, Omni-Sourced User Profiling & Long-tail Interest Targeting, has found success in over 20 geographical markets with more than 70 brands.
“In the marketing and advertising industry, we have access to so much data but in general, businesses lack the ability to understand and properly use it,” said Prof. Aleks Farseev, the CEO of the company.
The world’s ability to generate data has far outgrown man’s capability to process it. This is one of the main problems of the modern marketplace. As businesses attempt to use available data - the sheer volume overwhelms them. This has caused an unprecedented need to scale processes that are humanly impossible to meet.
Whilst it is the goal for marketing and advertising professionals to meet the demands of marketplaces, the ever-increasing pace and upskilling required is like swimming against a tsunami of data. This is why SoMin.ai focuses on machine learning innovations. They aim to give businesses the tools needed to meet the data demand in today’s marketplaces through machine learning and automation.
According to the company, they provide solutions to their customers by setting up an entire system to help them understand their audience through data and convert these into automatic actionable targeting and optimisation engine, resulting in more efficient ads. Some of the notable campaign results are:
- Mothercare, a household brand in the APAC region increased their digital marketing returns by over 100%
- Citibank generated 43% cheaper cost per lead and 53% more conversions from clicks
- McDonald’s generated an increase of 438% in Quality Reach leading to a 6x increase in RoAS
“SoMin helped improve our digital marketing returns by over 100%. I would recommend SoMin to anyone who’s looking to improve their PPC campaigns” – Pang Fu Wei, Managing Director of Mothercare Singapore
Prof. Aleks Farseev further explained that SoMin.ai allowed their clients to use more complex targeting which eased the transition of traditional concepts of audiences and improved how machines understood audiences within the digital space.
“Just by providing information about their digital ecosystem, (websites, social pages and competitors) our system is able to identify audience psychographic trends and convert it into targeting metrics that are directly applicable to ad platforms. This gives our customers more capability to use digital data which traditionally is extremely time-consuming and hard since most businesses do not have a dedicated data science team to handle the tasks,” Marlo Ongpin, Head of Marketing and Product explained.
With a team of two Professors in A.I., three PhD level machine learning engineers, data scientists and marketing professionals from top agencies around the world; SoMin.ai is able to work with complex structures that can help their customers adapt to the systems of today.
Overall, the company has been able to prove its effective approach through the results they’ve delivered to various clients such as – McDonald’s, Mothercare, Citibank, Audi, Huawei, and M1. They’re so confident in their solutions that they do not require their clients to pay their service fees in the first month if the solution results are not up to par.
“SoMin.ai is one of the top three companies in the world that have received Gartner Cool Vendor Awards in the ‘AI for Marketing’ category in 2020. Our PhD-backed Singapore-made technology of ‘Long-Tail Ad Targeting and Optimization’ was able to increase the performance of digital advertising campaigns by 38%, on average, which made it very competitive as compared to agency services and other software vendors in terms of achieved results,” the company concludes.
