Kerry Asia Pacific wins in the food and beverage category at Designed in Singapore Awards

Back on its third year to laud exceptional products manufactured and conceptualised in the city-state, this year’s awards programme recognised companies who brought pride to Singaporean innovation and workmanship.

By concocting the DaVinci Gourmet True to Fruit range, Kerry Asia Pacific Pte Ltd, world leader in the Taste & Nutrition industry, snagged the Designed in Singapore Award for food.

Crafted with natural colours and flavours and the highest real fruit juice content that can be found in the market, the DaVinci Gourmet True to Fruit range addresses the lack of real high-quality ingredients in most syrups. Formulated with Kerry’s proprietary TasteSense technology, the range is not only best-in-class for naturalness, but also delivering true taste with the lowest sugar content of the market.

For mixologists and baristas, syrups are essential in creating cocktails, flavoured teas and coffees, frappes and other beverages.

However, Kerry partnered with a network of key opinion leaders, baristas and mixologists in Singapore and across Asia to identify the roadblocks that hindered the evolution of the beverage industry as well as the creativity of drink creators.

These key pain points included the lack of naturalness, the absence of a true fruit palette, and high sugar content, amongst others. High sugar content has earned syrups a negative image and resulted in low growth level for the food category.

The DaVinci Gourmet True to Fruit range responds to these challenges by using only real high- quality ingredients for their syrups and meeting the rising demand for lower sugar products across the entire F&B industry.

This trailblazing move led to spectacular results, with DaVinci Gourmet gaining market share across Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa (APMEA). The Made in Singapore and Designed in Singapore Awards, presented by Singapore Business Review, was held on 28 November 2019 at Shangri-La Hotel Singapore.
