Norwex Malaysia Sdn Bhd raised the trophy in the Consumer Products - Durables category at the recently held Malaysia International Business Awards 2020, thanks to its ‘Norwex's A Million Masks, A Million Thank Yous’ project. The awards programme honours the most outstanding projects and innovative best practices amongst international businesses based in Malaysia.
Norwex believes that there is a strong and direct link between health and the health of the environment. The company’s global mission is to improve quality of life by radically reducing chemicals in homes. Because of this, Norwex made it its purpose to reduce the harmful chemicals and waste that challenge the health of the community and the health of the environment.
As a company, Norwex seeks to improve the quality of life and the health of the environment through its product solutions, business practices, and commitment to global advocacy and education.
Norwex's ‘A Million Masks, A Million Thank Yous' was a global initiative kicked off in April, as the company responded to the urgent call from the local authorities to support the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. Norwex donated more than 10,000 reusable face masks to St. John Ambulance of Malaysia (SJAM), and 500 pieces of Norwex flagship cleaning and hygiene product Enviro Microfibre Cloth, for the use of the ambulance and kidney dialysis centres in Malaysia to support the frontline healthcare professionals.
This donation reflected the company’s commitment to ensure frontline, as well as the safety of Malaysian St. John ambulance team personnel and volunteers, whilst fulfilling the company’s improvement by creating a safe environment quality of life mission.
Norwex’s Microfibre System has the power to clean without harmful chemicals. It is said to remove up to 99% of bacteria from a surface using only water, when following proper use and care. It also contains BacLockTM, an antibacterial agent (micro-silver) for self-cleansing purposes.
Furthermore, the firm’s cleaning products reduce chemicals such as parabens, phthalates, and carcinogens in the home, and helps reduce waste from everyday products such as paper towels, plastic wrap, and most single used products.
