OrangeFIN earns Malaysia Technology Excellence Award for Robotics - IT Services
The company was lauded for its automation project, OrangeWorkforce.
The self-sustainable robotic process automation solution, OrangeWorkforce, took home the Robotics - IT Services trophy at the recently concluded Malaysia Technology Excellence Awards, presented by Singapore Business Review.
Now in its second year, the awards event recognises organisations that dare to take risks and grab the reins in developing trailblazing innovations, digital services, reinvented strategies and technological projects. Awardees were selected according to exceptionality and innovation, success and impact as well as dynamism.
As businesses aim for greater agility, robotic process automation (RPA) has enabled them to perform multiple tasks in a faster, cost-effective way. Realising the needs of today’s enterprises, OrangeFIN Asia has developed OrangeWorkforce, a system based on the concept of ‘workforce augmentation,’ which equips human personnel with digital capabilities through RPA.
This solution is crucial to a business environment where productivity depends on real-time updates, interconnectivity, and adaptation.
With artificial intelligence (AI) at its core, OrangeWorkforce provides companies with situation and operation awareness so that high-volume and complex tasks traditionally done by humans can be taken over by OrangeWorkforce. The timeliness and efficiency of these tasks are ensured and managed through a Dashboard and can even be monitored using our mobile platform, OrangeMobile, for on-the-go monitoring.
Another important feature of the system is the use of OrangeBots that operate in a self-sustainable and supportive manner such that when one of the bots is not responding, it will restart or be restarted by its “buddy”. All jobs are performed smoothly due to the bots’ environmental awareness feature. Furthermore, to minimise delays, job loads are shared within the OrangeWorkgroup.
Additionally, this robotic system can operate any software and system from anywhere, without any enhancements to the existing system or changes to the IT infrastructure. Thus, resulting in zero risk in adopting this robotic workforce. Now, everyone and anyone can achieve automation.
OrangeWorkforce also provides notifications on low memory availability, network disruption, low storage, or CPU utilisation abnormality through email and or OrangeMobile.
Other tasks that OrangeWorkforce has been implemented in are customer service automation, business process outsourcing, bill of lading, accounts payable and accounts receivable reports. For banks and financial entities, OrangeWorkforce has also robotized processes in financial institutions, such as regulatory reporting and reconciliation, AI cheque clearance, monitoring and repairing IT services, and updating KPI and dashboard tracking.
OrangeWorkforce is also an active technology solution provider in UOB FinLab’s “Jom Transform Programme” that supports the digitalisation efforts of small and medium-sized enterprises.
The company continues to prove its dedication to serve the automation needs of businesses, thereby preparing them for a technologically competitive future.
The Malaysia Technology Excellence Awards, presented by Singapore Business Review, was held via video conferencing throughout the month of September.
This year’s nominations were judged by a panel consisting of Justin Ong, Partner and FSI Financial and Regulatory Risk Leader at Deloitte Asia Pacific; Alvin SH Gan, Executive Director, Partner, Head of IT enabled Transformation (ITeT) at KPMG Malaysia; Hari Iyer, Executive Director, Advisory at BDO Kuala Lumpur; Michael Lim Jr, Managing Director at Crowe Growth Consulting Sdn Bhd; Jade Leong, Partner, Advisory at Ernst & Young Advisory Services Sdn Bhd.
