SPTel wins SBR's Technology Excellence Award for its Business Class Digital Network

The project was recognised for its advanced capabilities in software defined networking and network functions virtualisation.

Recognised as the only network service provider in Singapore that provides true network diversity, SPTel has established Singapore’s Business Class Digital network with Software Defined Networking, Network Functions Virtualisation and Muti-Access Edge Computing (MEC) capabilities. The digital network is inbuilt with intelligence and enables users to have a holistic network management for greater control, visibility and scalability of their network. The solution bagged the Connectivity Award for Telecommunications at the recent Singapore Business Review’s (SBR) Technology Excellence Awards (TEA).

“We are transcending current telco offerings by building advanced intelligence inside our network for greater reliability, flexibility and control. By providing a business class digital network for our customers, we act as an enabler to accelerate their digitalisation efforts with a network that truly meets their needs for scalability, security and innovation.” said Titus Yong, CEO of SPTel.

SPTel’s solution acts as a smart business supporter, a digitisation accelerator, an operations optimizer and an innovation enabler, boasting configurable features such as a network services on demand, a secure clean pipe and a management dashboard for real time network monitoring and decision making.

Its versatile solutions structure enables clients to scale their network and increase capacity on demand. This ensures that patrons pay for only what they need and when they need it. This is especially critical in situations such as a pandemic whereby business networks may need to scale on demand to cater for an increase in web conferencing, online collaboration and digitalisation efforts.

Network performance is also improved through artificial intelligence and cyber security for a stress-free client experience. With DDoS detection built-in with the network, customers receive a new standard of care, with automatic alerts and the option to mitigate such attacks in real time, lowering the total cost of ownership while still maintaining cyber defenses. The network is also able to self-heal using Artificial Intelligence once disruption is detected so that customers enjoy optimum performance with minimal disruption.

As part of delivering business grade services to customers, SPTel’s customer portal improves business agility as business requests can be instantly processed once they are picked on the portal. Automated order provisioning is also available, and deployment can also be conducted in minutes, including having real-time status updates. These efficient procedures will enable users to bring their solutions to market faster.

SPTel’s new business class digital network can transform how business is conducted by solving all issues before they even occur through thinking, adjusting and self-healing to reach peak performance. SPTel also provides island wide as well as international reach for its solutions through global partners.

SPTel has presented this solution to major trade shows such as ConnecTech Asia 2019, Govware 2019, Cyber security Summit 2019 and SWITCH 2019.
