
EY's Kuntha Chelvanathan joins panel of judges at The Asian Export Awards 2018
The Asian Export Awards 2018 is the highest recognition for Asia's exporters.
Kuntha Chelvanathan, Partner, Advisory Services, Supply Chain and Operations, at Ernst & Young Advisory Pte. Ltd., will judge the best of Asia's exporters in The Asian Export Awards 2018. Kuntha leads the EY supply chain and operations practice in Singapore and the procurement practice in ASEAN. She specializes in supply chain and operations strategy, transformation programs, and implementation.
Kuntha has over 17 years of industry and consulting experience. She has worked in Europe for over nine years and across the Asia Pacific for eight years. Before joining EY, Kuntha was a manager in the global headquarters of Alcatel-Lucent in France where she developed a long-term global supply chain strategy, implemented developed strategies worldwide, and delivered sustained cost savings.
Kuntha also has experience working with one of ASEAN's largest integrated engineering companies in the design and development of the new procurement operating model including strategy, organization, governance, process, technology and shared service elements. She also led the creation of a procurement hub for a major Asian telecom company. The targeted savings of the procurement hub was around $150 million over three years. Another client of hers is a major Asian airline where she performed a current state analysis of 100% of the company's 3rd party spend to develop a business case for benefits realization of USD200 million. Kuntha was also a program director for the State Government's (Australia) Strategic Sourcing and Corporate Shared Services Review. The project aimed to review 20 departments and over $11 billion in external spending to identify $1 billion in cost reduction opportunities.
Her expertise includes operating model and organizational design, supply chain and procurement strategy, procurement pipeline savings development and delivery of procurement savings, end-to-end procurement process design, strategy implementation, and business plan validation. Kuntha has a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Sydney, Australia. She has also undertaken leadership courses at Harvard Business School
Backed by her 16 years of experience, Kuntha will be amongst the panel of judges who will determine the most outstanding exporters at The Asian Export Awards 2018.
The Asian Export Awards 2018 aims to recognise the best exporting companies in Asia, from excellent products and services to unique innovations. There are 48 categories open to any exporter in Asia. Each award will be open to two divisions - Large Corporates and Local Champion. Large Corporates is for large companies with group turnover of over $300 million, whilst Local Champion is for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
