From turbulence to triumph: A look at the modern supply chain
This exclusive Singapore Business Review webinar on August 4 will delve deep into the “new normal” for logistics and shipping in the Asia-Pacific region.
Even before the COVID-19 pandemic, change was taking place across the cargo, transportation and logistics industries, particularly in the Asia-Pacific region. New, cloud-based technologies, including big data platforms, have been having a dramatic impact on how they manage information and track even small shipments of individual items around the world.
Singapore Business Review’s upcoming webinar, From turbulence to triumph: A look at the modern supply chain, presented in partnership with leading software corporation SAP will delve deep into these changes and the current status of supply chains in Asia. With keynote speakers from Bain & Company, SAP, and Singapore-based drone manufacturer F-drones, this one-hour programme will offer viewers a practicable strategy for capitalizing on the ongoing disruption.
Gerry Mattios, Expert Partner with Bain & Company, has deep expertise in the supply chain management sector and is part of the consultancy’s Advanced Manufacturing and Services practice. He will speak specifically on the need for supply chain “re-tooling” within the Post-Covid world that is fast-developing.
Yeshwanth Reddy, the co-founder of F-drones, will share about the ways unmanned vehicles are complementing the marine and shipping industries. His company’s large-scale drones, for example, can deliver 100kg loads to ships and offshore platforms with complete autonomy, saving costs, time, and greenhouse gas emissions for maritime logistics providers.
The webinar’s third speaker will be Sreekumar Sivaramakrishnan, senior director for the Transportation and Logistics Industries with SAP Southeast Asia. He will explain how digitalisation is set to drive the supply chains and economies over the coming years, and some of the practicable solutions that businesses can utilize in this “new normal”.
Finally, all three speakers will share the virtual stage for an engaging panel discussion moderated by Singapore Business Review Chief Editor Tim Charlton. They’ll take live questions from the audience and delve deeper into each of their areas of expertise.
