Axis Communications showcases smart security solutions at Singapore Office
Customers can now experience simulated security environments.
When investing in a product or service – be it a beauty product, mobile device, or automobile – a business or individual wants to have the opportunity to sample it first or see it in action.
For this reason, Axis Communications, the global leader in network cameras, IP Audio, end-to-end security solutions and more, for all types of organisations and industries, has recently opened its Axis Experience Center in Singapore (AEC).
Axis’s line of network security products and services includes video surveillance and analytics, access control, intercom, and audio systems.
Security Simulation
“Our Axis Experience Center offers a simulated real-life environment to showcase our smart solution offerings,” said Carl Malmqvist, Regional Director, South Asia Pacific, Axis Communications.
“As Axis Communications’ Asia Pacific headquarters and largest market in Southeast Asia, Singapore has always been a key focus for Axis, and the country’s vision of transforming Singapore through technology is very much aligned with our own commitment to create a smarter, safer world through network solutions and innovation,” Malmqvist said.
He said that the AEC consists of a variety of network video solutions for smart cities, transportation, Industrial, and critical infrastructure segments, and more, to meet any business’s surveillance needs. Customers can also discover and compare a complete range of network cameras and devices for any kind of organisation or industry.
“We have a full range of our latest solutions and technologies that can be experienced through our AEC, such as the intelligent product wall. It is interactive and able to showcase the mix of solutions that are required for various scenarios and vertical segments, as well as Demo Pods that feature our 2N Intercom and License plate recognition technologies,” Malmqvist said.
He revealed that one of the most unique features of the Singapore AEC is the Dark Room, which allows visitors to “see and experience various scenarios in very low-light or challenging lighting conditions with solutions to address their requirements and demands in such conditions.”
Axis Communications employs more than 4,000 dedicated professionals in over 50 countries, and collaborates with partners worldwide to deliver customer solutions. Their website features 22 AECs across Europe, Middle East, the Americas, and Asia Pacific. Aside from Singapore, AECs in the Asia Pacific may be found in Hong Kong, Melbourne, Taipei, Osaka, and Tokyo.
The AEC in Singapore, according to Malmqvist, also boasts a command centre that features a live feed taken from its cameras running on the Axis Camera Station video management software, as well as analytic solutions such as the AXIS Object Analytics.
The centre can also be adapted to feature the company’s Technology Integration Partner solutions such as Briefcam’s video analytics and Milestone XProtect, amongst others, he said.
Taking the First Step
He added the AEC in Singapore is specifically designed to serve as the first step for the company’s Southeast Asia customers and partners to become familiar with security solutions that are powered by Internet of Things (IOT) technologies, and to discover how they can benefit from these solutions. It is a way for Axis to “learn more about their needs and challenges that are unique to the region.”
“This is a great way for visitors to experience and test our network video, access control, and audio solutions up close, and get a behind-the-scenes look at our latest technologies.”
To help visitors maximise their time at the AEC, visitors are required to book and schedule a guided tour in advance. “We hope that this in turn may provide solutions for their requirements and impact their idea of how their own obstacles can be solved with the best combination of solutions,” Malmqvist said.
Moving forward, Axis Communications intends to launch AECs in its other South Asia Pacific locations, such as India, Thailand and Indonesia.
“This is an exciting development for us, and we’re looking forward to meeting more of our partners and customers in those countries and building closer and more engaging relationships with them,” he said.
