Meng Yew is Deloitte Southeast Asia and Singapore Global Trade Advisory Leader. He regularly advises clients in navigating their investments into Southeast Asia from a market access perspective involving movement of goods, services, and investments. Such advice includes cross border supply chain strategies from a legal, regulatory, tax and trade perspective.

Cecil is a Partner in the Indirect Tax service line at Deloitte Singapore where he works closely with the regional and global Global Trade Advisory (GTA) network and other business units to build new service offerings and capabilities. He leads Deloitte's Digital Trade capabilities and is active on Digital Supply Chain and Trade Compliance matters in Asia Pacific and beyond.

Tony is a Director with Deloitte’s Global Trade Advisory team in Singapore and has been at the forefront of customs related matters in the Asia Pacific region for more than 40 years. Tony’s niche area of expertise is in Customs and international trade. These include helping clients to successfully implement changes that lead to greater indirect tax savings, cost savings through more efficient and effective supply chains, use of free trade agreements, free trade zones and other customs controlled areas, accurate HS classification, and efficient customs valuation of imports.

Wong Meng Yew, Tiffany Lee, Alexander Goh

Wong Meng Yew is a Partner in the Deloitte Singapore office and is the Leader of the Global Trade Advisory practice in Southeast Asia. He is also the Deloitte Southeast Asia Tax & Legal Climate & Sustainability Leader.

 He regularly advises clients in navigating their investments into Southeast Asia from a market access perspective involving movement of goods, services and investments. Such advice includes cross border supply chain strategies from a legal, regulatory, tax and trade perspective.

 Prior to joining Deloitte, Meng Yew practised as an attorney and Partner in an international law firm for more than a decade, advising clients on tax planning, international trade and commerce matters, customs compliance and representing clients with regards to disputes with tax and customs authorities on various matters.

Meng Yew regularly speaks at major conferences including those organized by the International Bar Association (IBA), Japan Tax Association (JTA), Korean International Trade Association (KITA), BNA Bloomberg and the US-ASEAN Business Council. 

Meng Yew read law at the University of Nottingham (UK) and is admitted to practice as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya. 

He is recognized as an indirect tax leader in both Malaysia and Singapore by the International Tax Review and has also been listed as a notable tax/trade practitioner in Legal 500 and Who’s Who of International Trade.

Tiffany Lee is a Senior Associate in the Deloitte Global Trade Advisory practice, based in Singapore. Tiffany has worked on projects across multiple industries including manufacturing, energy, construction, telecommunications, services, oil & gas and aerospace & aviation.

 She has experience in Indirect Tax and Customs matters in both Singapore and Malaysia, covering advice on business operations, import and export activities, incentives and grants, licence applications, disputes and conducting due-diligence and compliance health checks.

 She also works with clients to lobby for tax exemptions, address client specific issues and facilitate any applications/requests with authorities including the Ministry of Finance and Customs.

Tiffany holds a Bachelor of Laws degree and a Master of Science in Business Management from the University of Northumbria, UK.

Alexander Goh is a Manager at Deloitte’s Global Trade Advisory, based in Singapore, with close to a decade of experience in customs matters, facilitating trade and resolving compliance issues. Alexander advises clients on adding value to their processes and supply chains, as well as implementable strategies to resolve their trade issues with regard to the movement of goods. 

His areas of focus include utilising Free Trade Agreements (FTA), developing import/export controls, as well as an effective internal compliance programme, application of customs’ schemes and licences and carrying out activities within Free Trade Zones. In addition, Alexander has been deeply involved in the development of various ASEAN Customs’ initiatives, such as the ASEAN Single Window and ASEAN Customs Transit System.  

Prior to joining Deloitte, Alexander was with Singapore Customs for 8 years and has experience in three diverse areas, including advising companies on customs matters as an Account Manager, negotiating FTAs such as the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership as part of the Singapore delegation and investigating offences under the Customs Act and Regulation of Imports and Exports Act. He was also a trainer for customs’ courses. 

Alexander holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) from the National University of Singapore, with specialisation in Environmental Biology and a Minor in Geosciences.

Su-Yen Wong is Chief Executive Officer of the Human Capital Leadership Institute, which was established by the Ministry of Manpower, the Singapore Economic Development Board and the Singapore Management University to develop global leaders with a strong understanding of leading in Asia, as well as to build Asian leaders with the ability to lead on the global stage.

She brings over twenty years' experience in business strategy, organization transformation, human capital and leadership development. She has been based in various cities across Asia since 1997, and has worked with leading organizations across North America and Asia in a broad range of industries including high-tech, financial services, oil and gas, retail, consumer goods, and the public sector.

Su-Yen is an active member of the Singapore Institute of Directors, Women Corporate Directors, and the Young Presidents' Organization. She holds a B.A. (summa cum laude) in music and computer science from Linfield College and an M.B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Jasmine currently serves as a Director with the International Tax team based in Singapore. She has over 14 years of experience covering tax and the oilfield services sector. She began her career as a transfer pricing consultant and also has commercial experience in the oilfield services sector in an in-house group tax role, and was also involved in the operations of joint venture entities. Jasmine is a graduate from the Curtin University of Technology, Australia with a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Business Law. She is also a member of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) and the Singapore Chartered Tax Professionals.

Jason Yeo, Tax Manager, Deloitte Singapore

Jason has over eight years of experience engaging multinational and Singapore-based companies in various industries on the planning, preparation, application and negotiation of government incentives. He has considerable experience advising senior C-suite executives on their investments in Singapore and is regularly involved in negotiating incentive packages, facilitating application processes and obtaining approvals on incentives for companies. He also advises companies with existing incentives in having a proper compliance process in terms of meeting the investment commitments, as well as supports the re-negotiations and renewals of incentive packages.
