James Kane

James was working in the RFID industry for cards providers doing branding events, and felt the tech could be better utilised by introducing RFID wristbands and cashless into large events. As a veteran in the 'people' space (Hotel/F&B, sales/marketing, lifestyle/events), he founded RFID solutions provider GoGORILLA in 2012. GoGORILLA was acquired by cashless payments provider Sandpiper AG in 2016.

James MacKinnon

James MacKinnon is a Vice President of Burford Capital and a key member of Burford’s underwriting and investing team focused on Asia-Pacific, the UK and Europe.

A qualified solicitor in both England & Wales and Hong Kong, Mr. MacKinnon was a member of Herbert Smith Freehills’ International Arbitration practice in Hong Kong. He is an expert on third party funding law in Hong Kong and Singapore, and was a participant in the Third Party Funding for Arbitration Sub-committee of the Hong Kong Law Reform Commission (LRC) He began his legal career at White & Case LLP in London and Hong Kong, and later worked with DLA Piper in Dubai. Mr. MacKinnon also served as Counsel in the Secretariat of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC). Throughout his career, he has advised corporate and individual clients on high-value, complex disputes in the oil and gas, construction, financial and real estate sectors. Mr. MacKinnon received his law degree from Nottingham Law School and graduated from the University of Durham.

James Micklethwait

James Micklethwait is the Vice President of Kahoot!

Before joining Kahoot in 2017, James held product and strategy leadership roles for some of the UK’s best known consumer brands, including Rightmove, ITV and BBC.

James enjoys spending his time with his family and skiing. James is originally from the UK, but recently moved to Norway.

He holds a BA degree from Oxford University.

James Tay

James Tay is the Chief Executive Officer of Logicalis Asia. Prior to Logicalis’ acquisition of the NetStar Group in January 2010, he had held the same position in NetStar. An ICT industry veteran, James was President of Sales at EDS PLM in Asia Pacific prior to joining NetStar. He received his Master's Degree in Engineering Business Management from the University of Warwick, UK.

James Taylor

James Taylor is the General Manager for APAC at OnRobot.

He joined OnRobot from US-based Otis Elevator, where he was the Senior Director of New Equipment Innovation for the last three years. Prior to that, James spent 15 years in China, serving various establishments. Whilst in China, he was appointed the General Manager for Universal Robots (UR) from 2014 to 2016. At UR, he was instrumental in developing the business in China from start-up; established China offices, developed team and sales channels, created and executed the local business strategy.

James holds a B.S. in Biology from the US and a MBA from Rutgers Business School.

James Walton

James is the Transportation, Hospitality and Services Sector Leader for Deloitte Singapore and Southeast Asia, which includes the leisure, hospitality, gaming, travel and tourism sectors; and Deloitte’s Sport Business Group Leader for Southeast Asia.

James is also the Clients & Markets Leader for Deloitte Singapore and Southeast Asia, a role in which he oversees all of Deloitte’s marketing, business development, brand and communications activities across the ASEAN region, as well as CSR programs. He has been with Deloitte for over 20 years since starting his career in the Tax Department of Deloitte UK in 1999. In that time he has worked in over 55 countries with the network, and has been based in Singapore since 2010.

James has a BA Hons Degree in Economic & Political Development from the University of Exeter (UK) and an MBA from the Jeffrey M. Katz School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh. Outside of work, James is an avid soccer player and veteran of 23 London marathons and many ultramarathons.

Based in Singapore, James is an ad man who started his career at JWT’s media consultancy, the Advanced Techniques Group (which later became MindShare’s ATG). After a period as a brand consultant in Hong Kong and London, James has been helping creative, digital, and media agencies boost their clients’ brands – and businesses – across this region as well as across Europe.
