Piyus Vallabh and James Paul

Piyus is a tax management consulting partner in Deloitte South East Asia and leads the Deloitte Global Tax Center Asia (GTCA), based in Singapore. He has over 17 years’ experience in providing corporate tax and tax management consulting services.

The GTCA provides centralised management and coordination of tax and statutory account compliance obligations in the Asia Pacific region as well advising clients on tax risk, strategy and technology.

Piyus also has significant experience in leading transition for regional tax compliance engagements with a particular focus on relationship management, technology and process improvement for tax compliance and reporting.

James is a Director in Deloitte’s Tax Management Consulting team with 12 years’ experience advising organisations on their tax management frameworks. He relocated to Singapore in early 2016, from Deloitte in London, to join the Deloitte Global Tax Center Asia, responding to the increased business focus on tax management strategy and operations in the region.

James has a particular interest in tax operating models and works with CFOs, FDs and Tax Directors to review and improve their tax function operations. He has significant experience in tax technology selection and implementation; tax governance advice; and tax resourcing model design.

Piyus Vallabh, Andreas Kirsch, and Daniel Ho

Daniel Ho is Deloitte Singapore’s Tax Partner and Tax Leader for Government & Public Services sector. He is also the Mergers & Acquisition (Tax) Leader for Deloitte Southeast Asia.

Daniel has more than 21 years of tax experience serving local and listed companies in Singapore as well as multinational companies in industries such as real estate, fund management, construction, technology, manufacturing, consumer products and shipping/energy and resources.

He has extensive experience in domestic and international tax consultancy and planning in the area of corporate restructuring, tax due diligence, cross-border payments, supply-chain planning, mergers and acquisitions and permanent establishment issues. Daniel has been involved in numerous tax structuring and due diligence assignments for corporates and PE funds. He has assisted clients in different industries such as manufacturing, shipping, trading and fund management in the application for relevant Singapore tax incentives.

Daniel is currently a faculty member of the Deloitte International Corporate Tax School and a former part-time lecturer for the subject “Principles of Taxation” at the Nanyang Technological University.

Daniel has been named in International Tax Review’s Tax Controversy Leaders Guide in 2016, 2018 and 2020 and Expert Guide’s 2018 and 2020 World’s Leading Tax Advisors.

Piyus has significant experience in leading tax technology projects in Asia Pacific including advising on tax technology needs for clients and implementation. Andreas Kirsch joined Deloitte’s Tax Governance Group in Singapore as a Director from Deloitte Germany in November 2020 and specialises in Tax Governance as well as Data Analytics. Andreas has over 17 years of experience in tax consultancy and in-house advisory including tax risk management, tax M&A work, tax planning, cross-border transactions from a direct and indirect tax perspective. His previous roles include industry as well as consultancy positions.

Andreas has a master degree in management and is a certified German tax advisors.
