
Morning Brief: NY Times on Singapore immigration, Stikfas founder in underage prostitute scandal
Here is what Singapore is talking about today including the sex for grades probe at NUS.
- The New York Times has written an article about “vitriol” against newcomers in Singapore, mainly Chinese, but also focusing on other nationalities, including Facebook founder Eduardo Saverin. Read the article here.
- Stikfas founder Ban Yinh Jheow faces three charges of paying $450 to an underage prostitute. Stikfas is a toy company that made good with a licensing deal with Hasbro. You can see the video here, and check out the Ferrari outside the front of the courthouse; irony doesn’t come close.
