Singapore and Korea sign MOU to promote collaboration between firms
Part of the collaboration is regular information-sharing on growth areas in emerging markets of interest to Korea and Singapore.
Other components are joint-bidding and execution of strategic platform projects with significant economic impact to both countries and identifying and developing new industrial and growth sectors.
The MOU was signed by Vice Minister for Trade & Energy, Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Mr Kim Jung-gwan, and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of IE Singapore, Mr Chua Taik Him.
“By leveraging each other’s strengths and combined capabilities, we can collectively seize opportunities in fast growing markets. We would like Singapore based-companies to broaden their network so they have more opportunities to capture growth,” said Mr Chua Taik Him, Deputy CEO of IE Singapore.
Meanwhile Mr Kim Jung-gwan, Korea’s MKE Vice-Minister, commented, “We have many complementary attributes that would make us good partners. Furthermore, working together will generate commercial and economic impact to both countries.”
