$940m wage credits to be released by end-March

This latest disbursement of the Wage Credit Scheme will affect over 98,000 employers.

The government will release $940m by 31 March as a part of its Wage Credit Scheme.

The funds will go to over 98,000 employers in Singapore to pay for their employees' wages.

Eligible employers are set to receive letters from the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) before end-March to inform them of their payout amount. Appeals may be sent to the IRAS until 30 June.

This brings the total wage credit disbursed to more than $2b.
