Economic optimism stronger among affluent Singaporeans
Seven in 10 of the affluent segment is more optimistic about local economic growth.
Confidence in the local economy is higher among Singapore’s affluent segment than the mass segment, according to MDRi, a group business of the international law firm Mishcon de Reya.
Data from MDRi shows that 72% of the affluent segment is more optimistic about local economic growth, compared to only 42% of the mass segment.
Additionally, fewer individuals from the affluent segment (10%) have become more pessimistic about local economic growth compared to the mass segment (18%).
Overall, 51% of Singaporeans feel more optimistic about local economic growth, and only 17% have become more pessimistic.
