Liveable, sustainable cities needed in post-pandemic era: gov’t

Building liveable and sustainable cities are necessary as the nations and cities move to a post pandemic world, Second Minister for Finance and National Development Indranee Rajah said in a speech.
During the World Cities Summit Mayoral Lunch 2022 on Sunday, Rajah revealed that the past two and a half years pushed humanity’s connectedness and commonalities.

With this, Rajah urged that reflecting on experience and lessons learned will help reshape cities during “extraordinary times.”
“Opportunities like this where we can gather in the same place, exchange thoughts and ideas, and forge partnerships are intrinsically valuable, and we hope we make full use of the time we have together to continue to strengthen the ties between our cities and with each other,” said Rajah.
