MOF appoints new head of accounting and corporate regulatory authority board

Ong Chong Tee will assume his post on 1 July 2022.

Ong Chong Tee was appointed as chairman of the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (Acra) Board, which will take effect on 1 July 2022, the Ministry of Finance said.

He will replace Tan Ching Yee, who served as head of the board since 1 April 2018.

Ong, who was former deputy chairman of Acra, will continue to ensure a trusted business environment. Acra will also soon strengthen its effectiveness as a corporate registry and regulator, and as a developer of the accountancy sector when it is merged with the Singapore Accountancy Commission.
