MOF seeks feedback on Goods and Services Tax Act amendments
The Ministry of Finance plans to amend the introduction of GST on imported low-value goods and non-digital services.
The Ministry of Finance has opened a public consultation on its four proposed amendments to the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Act.
Amongst the changes proposed on the draft GST (Amendment) Bill 2021 involve the introduction of GST on $400-and-below goods imported via air or post, and to business-to-consumer imported non-digital services.
The second proposed amendment has to do with GST for supplies of media sales.
The last two proposed amendments have to do with GST administration and the clarity of existing legislation.
The public can access the public consultation documents, including the draft GST (Amendment) Bill 2021, on the Ministry of Finance's website (www.mof.gov.sg) and the REACH consultation portal (www.reach.gov.sg).
