Non-oil re-exports fell 5.4% in February

The drop, attributed to a decline in both electronic and non-electronic NORX, reversed the 7.4 percent rise in the previous month.

Higher electronic NORX however pushed year-on-year (y-o-y) results to be up by 3.9 percent, according to International Enterprise (IE) Singapore.

Meanwhile non-oil domestic exports (NODX) increased by 15 percent in February 2010, on a month-on-month seasonally adjusted basis, a recovery from the previous month's 9.1 percent decline. On a y-o-y basis, NODX saw 23 percent growth in February 2010, following the 21 percent rise in the previous month, due to both electronic and non-electronic NODX.

Total trade on a y-o-y basis expanded by 18 percent in February 2010, after the 33 percent growth in the previous month, with total exports rising by 19 percent and total imports increasing by 16 percent in February 2010.
