Over more than a quarter of employees plan to jump ship by 2020
68% of younger employees are open to finding new roles next year.
More than a quarter, or 27% of employees in Singapore are planning to look for a new job in 2020, said a survey conducted by recruitment consultancy Robert Half.
The report also revealed that whilst six in ten (61%) don’t have plans of leaving their current employer, they would be open to a new role if approached by a recruiter, showing Singaporean employees’ willingness for better opportunities.
Younger employees were more likely to seek new roles in 2020, with respondents from the survey aged 18-34 accounted for more than half (68%) of those open to seek new roles in the coming year.
Job hopping continues to be more prevalent among Singapore’s millennial workforce, whilst those approaching the final stages of their career journey are more likely to remain in their current role, with about 70% of those who said they aren’t looking for a new job, were employees aged 35-55 and up.
