
Sept non-oil domestic exports slip 3.4%

On annual basis, NODX contracted by 3.4%in September, following the 10.7% decrease in the previous month.
The government blamed the laclustere performance to slump in electronic domestic exports which outweighed the increase in non-electronic domestic exports.
On a y-o-y basis, electronic NODX decreased by 16.4% after the 11.0% decline in August. The contraction in electronic domestic exports was largely due to ICs (-22.4%), parts of PCs (-27.9%) and diodes & transistors (-21.8%).
Non-electronic NODX, on the other hand, expanded by 4.2% YoY, following the 10.5% in the previous month. The rise in non-electronic NODX was led by structures of ships & boats (+6,445.1%), non-monetary gold (+113.5%) and printed matter (+39.4%).
On a monthly basis NODX increased by 1.6% in September, compared to the previous month’s 9.1% decline, due to both electronic and non-electronic NODX.
