SG seeks to work with IPEF partners for digital, green economy projects
The Indo-Pacific Economic Framework for Prosperity will form negotiations.
Minister Gan Kim Yong said Singapore is expecting to collaborate with Indo-Pacific Economic Framework for Prosperity (IPEF) partners in developing digital and green economies projects that will benefit workers and businesses.
“Singapore will continue to closely collaborate with the US and other IPEF partners on this important part of our regional economic initiative,” Gan said.
This after Gan was present at the IPEF Ministerial Meeting in Los Angeles, California from 8 to 9 September.
He represented Singapore and was joined by other 13 IPEF participating countries.
The joint Ministerial Statements expanded on Leaders’ 23 May 2022 joint statement and will form the basis for negotiations under the four IPEF pillars including trade, supply chains, clean economy, and fair economy.
