
Singapore’s assets ballooned by $190 billion: MAS
We’re seeing a growth in wealth managers.
The country’s asset management industry continued to grow in size and diversity in the past year, as more traditional and alternative managers, insurers and wealth managers set foot in Singaporean soil.
In the latest MAS report, assets under management (AUM) grew by 11.8% from $1.63 trillion to $1.82 trillion.
According to MAS, the Asia-Pacific region continues to be a key investment destination for global investors with longer term investment horizons, both within and outside Asia. Allocation to the Asia-Pacific region accounted for 67% of total AUM in the past year.
