Singapore ranked 186 out of 193 countries.

Singapore is amongst the safest countries when it comes to disasters with a “very low” world risk index (WRI) score of 0.80, according to the World Risk Report 2024.

Singapore ranked 186 out of the 193 countries surveyed in the index which covers all member-states of the United Nations and over 99% of the world population.

The index examines five sub-indices that determine the risk factors for each country.

Of the sub-indices, Singapore scored 0.15 for exposure, vulnerability (4.25), susceptibility (3.83), lack of coping capabilities (0.83), and lack of adaptive capabilities (24.11). These scores fall under the 'very low' classification in terms of risk factors.

In addition, Singapore also reported a very low risk of conflict exposure, scoring 0.1. This includes battles, remote violence and explosions, riots, and violence against civilians.
