They held the 9th Singapore-Brunei Defence Policy Dialogue.

Singapore and Brunei held the first in-person Defence Policy Dialogue since the start of the pandemic, reaffirming the commitment of the two countries to deepen their bilateral defence relationship.

In a statement, Singapore’s Ministry of Defence said the 9th dialogue, launched in 2009 and co-chaired by Permanent Secretary (Defence) Chan Heng Kee and Permanent Secretary (Policy, Finance and Administration) of the Bruneian Ministry of Defence Colonel (COL) (Rtd) Norsuriati binti Haji Sharbini, provided a platform for the parties to exchange views on the regional and international security environment.

“COL (Rtd) Norsuriati’s visit reaffirms the close and long-standing defence relations between Singapore and Brunei. Besides established dialogues such as the DPD between Ministry officials, the armed forces of both countries also interact regularly through bilateral exercises, cross-attendance of courses, professional exchanges and visits,” the ministry said.

Norsuriati went to Singapore from 4 to 7 December for her introductory visit.
