Each Singaporean would theoretically hold 12 gold coins.
Singapore's gold reserves dropped to 228.86 tonnes in the second quarter of 2024, a decrease of 7.74 tonnes from the previous quarter, according to a report by BestBrokers.
This follows a previous increase in the first quarter of 2024, when reserves reached 236.6 tonnes, up from 230.04 tonnes in the last quarter of 2023.
Citing World Gold Council data, BestBrokers noted that if Singapore’s gold reserves were distributed equally amongst its citizens, each individual would theoretically hold 12 gold coins.
