On Chinese New Year, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong underscored the government plans and initiatives for Singapore Made for Families 2025, which will uplift families through all phases of life.
Companies can do its part by promoting flexible work schemes and cultivating an uplifting workplace environment, Lee said.
Community partners may also pool resources to enhance the lives of families.
Lee also vowed that the government will alleviate pressure on parents and children’s educational journey.
“We lowered fees at government supported pre-schools from this January. Further changes will be announced in the coming months,” Lee said.
Lee also reminded the public to never forget the sacrifices of those fighting against the COVID-19 and to be vigilant.
To do this, he said precautionary measures must still be taken such as self-tests and keeping vaccinations up-to-date.
