Spencer Ogden gets funky with its newest trademark space in Singapore
The company invested over $1M to make this signature office possible.
Global energy recruiter, Spencer Ogden, finally opened one of the coolest workplaces in Singapore. Located in the heart of CBD, on the 34th floor of One Raffles Place, Tower 2, the 12,000 sq ft space is Spencer Ogden’s ‘biggest’, ‘best’ and newest trademark space out of the company’s 15 international offices.
With over SGD1M invested in this signature office, it is targeted to house more than 120 executives of the company. It also features Astro Turf flooring, an American-style diner and giant knight’s tables. In addition, it has table-tennis, football, basketball hoops, crazy golf, bicycles and even rickshaws to keep their specialist consultants energised while at work.
According to David Spencer-Percival, CEO of Spencer Ogden, their new Singapore office is currently their largest and most impressive office yet and the one they have always dreamed of.
Inspired by a vision to incorporate home and garden in the office environment, the space was designed by Bonita Spencer-Percival, design director of Spencer Ogden, and was planned and fitted by the design consultancy Space Matrix. Bonita has designed each of Spencer Ogden’s 15 worldwide offices which individually fuses the corporate brand with the base country’s culture.
According to David, one of the biggest challenges they faced was that they had to complete the project in less than 2 months. Good thing they had a fantastic team working on the project who was truly committed to meet the ambitious deadline.
In line with the signature office opening, David believes that workspace improves productivity by 30%. “We are committed to creating environments that encourage open communication and team work and as a result have produced a highly collaborative and productive workforce,” he said.
