EMA launches 2nd Energy Storage Systems Grant Call
Submission of proposals will close on 14 September.
The Energy Market Authority (EMA) rolled out the second Energy Storage Systems (ESS) Grant Call to reinforce research and development efforts in clean energy.
In a statement, EMA said the proposal for the grant call should align with one or more of the following problem statements:
- Innovative ESS solutions that are safer, denser and/or more cost-effective;
- Innovative urban deployment topologies that are safer, more space-efficient and/or more cost-effective; and
- More efficient and cost-effective methods of repurposing used Electric Vehicle (EV) batteries as ESS.

Research consortia composed of Institutes of Higher Learning, Public Sector Research Institutions, public sector agencies, not-for-profit organistations, and/or private sector firms can apply for the grant.
Proposal submission will end on 14 September at 12:00 pm.
