Household gas tariff raised in Q3
Town gas tariff set at 23.42 cents per kWh
Gas tariffs for households have been increased by 0.30 cents per kilowatt hour (kWh) in the third quarter due to rising costs.
City Energy has raised the town gas tariff from 23.12 cents per kWh to 23.42 cents per kWh starting today, 1 July 2024 to 30 September 2024. With the 9% GST, the tariff increases to 25.53 cents per kWh.
Bulk Tariff A, for those with minimum monthly consumption of 1,000 kWh, increased to 22.21 cents per kWh, while Bulk Tariff B for those with monthly use of at least 50,000 kWh was raised to 21.61cents per kWh.
City Energy is Singapore’s sole producer of town gas, which is mainly used by residential and commercial customers for cooking and heating purposes.
City Energy reviews gas tariffs based on guidelines set by the Energy Market Authority.
