The company inked a S$50m contract for its launch at Perennial Business City.
Keppel Infrastructure has inked a $50m contract with Perennial Holdings Private Limited to roll out Singapore’s first sustainable Energy-as-a-Service concept at Perennial Business City.
Part of the concept is the installation and operation of chiller systems which is expected to improve Perennial Business City’s energy efficiency since cooling makes up to 50% of a building's electrical load.
More than 1,8000 photovoltaic solar panels will also be installed on the roof of the Perennial Business City that will generate more than 1,200 MWh per year and power 300 four-room flats.
With the introduction of the concept, Perennial Business City is set to become the first sustainable super low energy building that operates with renewable energy in the Jurong Lake District.
The park, which measures over one million million square feet in total net lettable area, is also expected to reduce its total building energy consumption by more than 40%.
To adopt green transport, Keppel Infrastructure will set up 20 smart EV charging stations in the park -- the largest ever installed in a single business park development in Singapore.
