
Keppel reiterates zero tolerance for bribery as Brazilian agent lands behind bars
Its dealings with Eagle do Brasil have been put on hold.
Singapore’s largest rig builder stressed that its has a zero-tolerance stance against bribery and any other form of illegal activity, after its Brazilian agent has been arrested by authorities after a slew of corruption charges.
Zwi Skornicki, an employee of Keppel FELS’ agent Eagle do Brasil, was arrested on February 22. Skornicki has been accused of bribing Sete Brasil officials in order to win contracts for his clients.
Keppel said that its dealings with Eagle and Skornicki have been on hold since the news first erupted in February last year.
“Keppel reiterates its zero-tolerance stance against any form of illegal activity, including bribery and corruption, involving its employees or associates, and will take all necessary steps to eradicate such conduct if discovered,” Keppel said.
