
Keppel's Belgian unit to supply waste-to-energy plants in India
The facility will reduce the waste volume in landfills by over 90%.
Keppel Seghers Belgium, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Keppel Infrastructure Holdings, has secured contracts to provide waste-to-energy (WTE) technology and services worth over $18m (€12m) from Abellon Clean Energy Limited based in Gujarat in India, revealed in its bourse filing.
Keppel Seghers is said to provide the core equipment, design, and technical services for the plant’s air-cooled grate and vertical boiler, which are designed to achieve efficient energy recovery and operational reliability.
Once completed, the facility is expected to reduce the volume of waste that goes to landfills by over 90%.
