Lai Chung Han leaves Seatrium board for Ministry of Finance role

He will start as permanent secretary at the Ministry of Finance on 1 July.

Seatrium's independent director, Lai Chung Han, will step down on 30 June to join the Ministry of Finance as permanent secretary starting 1 July.

Lai has served Seatrium as a non-executive independent director since 28 February 2023 and is a Corporate Social Responsibility Committee member.

In addition, Lai holds the position of permanent secretary at the Ministry of Education.

He is on the boards of trustees for the National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University and is the National Institute of Education council chairman.

Following Lai’s resignation, the Seatrium board will consist of nine directors, seven of whom are independent.
