Pavilion Energy, Chevron ink six-year LNG supply deal
Singapore will receive 0.5 million tonnes of LNG per year.
Temasek-owned Pavilion Energy and Chevron Singapore have entered into a six-year liquefied natural gas (LNG) sale and purchase agreement (SPA) for an annual supply of 0.5 million tonnes of LNG to Singapore from 2023.
Aside from supplying LNG to the city-state, Pavilion Energy and its partners will also codevelop and implement a greenhouse gas (GHG) quantification and reporting methodology for LNG.
The methodology will be founded on international standards and will cover emissions from wellhead-to-discharge terminals, including LNG transportation, a joint statement from Pavilion Energy and Chevron Singapore read,
“To promote increased sustainability and transparency in the LNG value chain and as required by Pavilion Energy under its supply tender, each LNG cargo delivered under this agreement will be accompanied by a statement of its GHG emissions measured from wellhead to discharge port,” the statement added.
