Seatrium, Shell partner on Floating Production Systems

The parties are pushing for standardisation and replication of FPS.

Seatrium Limited has inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Shell GlobalSolutions International B.V. to collaborate on designing and constructing floating production systems.

The MoU focuses on driving project standardisation and replication of FPS by leveraging both parties’ experiences from previous projects.

“We look forward to continue working with Shell to mutually learn and develop best-in-class project management practices to achieve operational efficiency in future floater projects, benefitting both parties.” William Gu, executive vice president of Seatrium Oil & Gas International, said.

Seatrium and Shell have collaborated on previous projects, including the Sparta floating production unit (FPU) and the Vito and Whale FPU new builds in 2021 and 2023, respectively.
