
Sembcorp completes acquisition of 3 solar projects in China
The assets have a total capacity of 795MW.
Beijing Energy Sembcorp (Hainan) International Renewables Company Limited, a 49%-owned joint venture of Sembcorp Industries, has completed the acquisition of three solar assets in China.
In a bourse filing, Sembcrop acquired the three projects with a total capacity of 795MW from BEI Energy Development (Beijing) Co., Ltd.
Sembcorp’s renewables portfolio of solar, wind and energy storage in operation and under development globally now stands at 9.8GW, following the completion of the acquisition.
The total also includes acquisitions pending completion.
“This acquisition will be accretive to earnings for the financial year ending December 31, 2023,” the company said.
