
Sembcorp Ind bags $214m from Bournemouth Water sale, starts work on $300m China wind farm
Its renewable energy business is gaining steam.
Sembcorp Industries has bagged $214m in cash proceeds from the divestment of its 100% stake in Sembcorp Bournemouth Water (SBW), a holding entity involved in the operation of a regulated municipal water business
based in Bournemouth, UK.
SBW was snapped up by Pennon Group for an enterprise value of approximately S$393 million (£191.5 million)
with cash proceeds from the sale of approximately $214 million (£104.5 million).
In a separate announcement, Sembcorp Industries also revealed that it will commence work on a $300m (RMB1.3b) wind farm in Laoshibeihe this year.
