DBS revitalizes Hack2Hire to accumulate top technology talent
DBS expects 150 talents to take part in this initiative.
DBS announced the return of Hack2Hire after a year-long hiatus.
DBS expects that 150 talents will take part in the programme. Candidates would have the opportunity to meet technologists and participate in challenges during the virtual hackathon. Successful candidates would be offered a final interview during the same event.
Positions for candidates are spread across 14 developer and engineering roles. This is due to the adoption of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and blockchain technology by the company. Both fresh graduates and experienced professionals are invited.
Current projects covered by the initiatives are the DBS Digital Exchange, Climate Impact X, and DBS NAV Planner.
Soh Siew Choo, group head of Big Data/AI and Consumer Banking Technology, DBS, said that this opportunity is a result of the increased pace of digital adoption.
“With COVID-19 greatly accelerating the pace of digital adoption, it is now more important than ever to ensure that our digital offerings continue to stay ahead of our customers’ needs. At DBS, we are deeply absorbed in leveraging emerging technologies, such as AI and blockchain to deliver intelligent, intuitive, and invisible banking services. We have made significant strides in the past year, but the journey is only beginning, and we are looking to uncover high-quality talent to join us as we shape the digital finance landscape and make banking joyful for our customers," Choo said.
