Chinese version of “Guidebook for Audit Committees” launched
Chinese-speaking directors in Singapore and abroad can now access tools to improve auditing assessment and management.
The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) and SGX has introduced the Chinese version of "ACGC Guidebook for Audit Committees in Singapore."
KPMG Audit Committee Institute (ACI), one of the key content contributors, was engaged to translate the guidebook into the Chinese language to reach Chinese-speaking directors not only in Singapore, but globally.
The MAS, ACRA and SGX launched the English edition of "ACGC Guidebook for Audit Committees in Singapore" in late 2008.
This unique and comprehensive document addresses key issues such as risk management, fraud, and the composition of the audit committee. Developed with inputs from leading industry professionals, the guidebook serves as practical and useful reference for audit committee members, company directors, and all who are involved in corporate governance.
The guidebook also includes tools, such as frequently-asked-questions, case studies, red flags, and sample forms, to assist directors in better assessing and managing various situations in the course of their duties.
For greater convenience, online version of the Guidebook is made accessible on the MAS, ACRA and SGX websites. Print version of the Chinese Guidebook will be made available SGX-listed companies soon.
