Citi Singapore extends work from home setup until July
Majority of its 8,500 staff are working remotely.
Citi Singapore is extending its work from home setup for the majority of its staff until July, according to an announcement.
Currently, 88% of its 8,500-strong staff are working remotely and only 12% are working on premises. For those working at home, Citi will reimburse their incremental home internet, WiFi, broadband, or cellular minutes expenses incurred.
Similarly, for staff currently working onsite, Citi will continue to allow them to claim expenses and reimbursements for transport costs and car parking at Citi offices.
The bank’s emphasis on the health and safety of its staff is the key reason for the decision, as well as its ability to maintain productivity.
Staff will return incrementally to the workplace come July under strict Safe Management (SM) measures in line with the Ministry of Health advisory, which includes safe distancing, wearing face masks or full shield, and ensuring that staff won’t mingle with each other during meal times or in common places.
